As part of our Alumni of the Year tradition, each year we honor a young person who shows great potential in contributing to LAS and their community through our Young Alumni of the Year Award. This year’s awardee is an incredible example of an engaged alum.
An LAS Valedictorian who went on to attend Wellesley College, this alumna worked in international development at MIT and most recently was a Senior Policy Associate at the Poverty Action Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This fall, she’ll begin an MBA program at Yale University. She has returned multiple times as a visiting scholar to work with students here at LAS, bringing a vibrancy to our classrooms that our students love.
It’s with great pleasure that we award our Young Alumni of the Year Award to Siena Harlin, Class of 2014.
In her own words:
"Being back on campus was both a homecoming and a wonderful opportunity to re-meet the LAS community! I had the pleasure of joining several classes to talk about my work in international development at MIT and chat with students about how they might build a focus on social impact into their studies and careers.”
