LAS Visiting Scholars

Welcome to the LAS Visiting Scholars program—bringing real-world expertise into our student experience.

Each year, LAS invites members of our international community back to campus to share their expertise in our classrooms and dorms, to support our extracurricular programming and activities, and deliver professional development to our faculty and staff through our LAS Visiting Scholars program. As a result, LAS students gain access to a wealth of knowledge, talents, backgrounds and techniques from the real-world experiences of our scholars.

Recent visiting scholars include Emily Weitzman, a creative writing lecturer at Columbia and NYU; Siena Harlin ‘14, who shared with students about her work in Anti-Poverty Programs at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at MIT; and Ted Munter, a Netherlands-based Entrepreneurship coach and founder of the Molly School (to name a few!).

We’re delighted to announce that Kymani Montgomery ’12 will be joining our campus in November to work with students and faculty in the realm of DEIJ.

We are so fortunate to have such rich resources of talent within our community, and we are very excited to deliver this impactful and holistic initiative for LAS families. Want to learn more about the LAS Visiting Scholar program or get involved? Email
