Annual Giving

Each year, LAS asks its alumni, parents and friends to express their shared belief in the mission and vision of the school with a gift to the LAS Annual Fund. These gifts provide resources above and beyond those provided by fees and tuition, ensuring that LAS can continue to develop innovative, compassionate and responsible citizens of the world. Your participation in the Annual Fund demonstrates your shared belief in the importance of this development and a Leysin American School education.

In a given year, the LAS Annual Fund might support:

  • Increased student scholarships
  • New curriculum development
  • Professional development for faculty
  • Facilities improvement
  • Expansion of the Arts, Athletics, and Residential Life programs

Thank you for demonstrating your shared belief in all that LAS has to offer with your support of the LAS Annual Fund.

Capital Giving

LAS is grateful to all the alumni, parents and friends who support the LAS Annual Fund each year, allowing the school to sustain its current level of excellence and address its ongoing operational needs.

LAS is also fortunate to receive transformative support from its alumni, parents and friends in the form of restricted or targeted gifts. These gifts allow the school to grow and become something greater than it is today. This type of support might assist in the construction or renovation of a building, purchase new and unbudgeted equipment, create a new program of study and/or establish a new scholarship. Such generosity often comes in the form of outright gifts or pledges toward a specific interest or project; however, you may also choose to include LAS in your estate plans so that your wishes will be accomplished at a later time or by bequest.

If you are interested in helping LAS reach new levels of excellence, or in learning more about the transformational opportunities at LAS, please contact the Development Office.

Thank you for considering the future of LAS.

Fred & Sigrid Ott Heritage Society

The Leysin American School’s legacy program honors our alumni and friends who have generously remembered LAS in their estate plans. Named for our founders, Fred and Sigrid Ott, the Heritage Society recognizes their vision, commitment and forethought. Members of the Society have expressed their understanding of Fred’s and Sigrid’s vision through a very special and important form of financial support.

If you are considering including, or have already included, LAS in your estate plans, please let us know. We would like to thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness by including you in the Fred & Sigrid Ott Heritage Society.

Membership Benefits:

  • Your membership involves no dues, obligations or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made. Recognizing your membership is important to LAS and it may inspire generosity in others.
  • Benefits of membership in the Heritage Society include invitations to special events and subscriptions to Panorama and the “Head of School” newsletters.
  • The most important benefit you will receive from joining the Fred & Sigrid Ott Heritage Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to LAS’s long-term prosperity and success.

volunteer

We work hard to stay connected to our extended LAS family, but the success of our alumni events, reunions and outreach programs relies in large part on the support of volunteers.

If you would like to become an Alumni Ambassador, we are looking for alumni to contributing their time and energy in one or more of the following ways:

  • Host an alumni event or reception in your city
  • Represent LAS at a recruiting fair
  • Help plan a reunion
  • Become a university or college mentor to a current student
  • Become a career mentor to an LAS graduate at university
  • Be a guest speaker for an LAS class

Please contact us directly for more information. Thank you!

give now

Leysin American School’s ability to remain one of the top international boarding schools in the world requires the support of our alumni, parents, and friends. LAS is young in age and small in size when compared to our peer schools, which benefit from a much larger resource base. Your gift to LAS will have real power and impact, benefiting promising young men and women at the most defining time in their lives. A gift to LAS is an investment in the development of innovative, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.
