The applicant:

• Is currently in grade 10* and planning on completing the International Baccalaureate Program (IBDP) or the combined IB/AP pathway (a minimum of 3 AP and 2 IB certificate courses per year)
• Has an advanced level of English
• Can provide records of impressive academic achievements
• Can provide records of their extracurricular successes
• Is financially able to pay CHF 10,000 (CHF 5,000 for a security deposit and CHF 5,000 for the student’s personal account) as well as three return flight tickets per year from Switzerland to their home country during the winter, spring, and summer breaks. Visa application fees are covered by the applicant.

Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year are now open and will close on 31 January 2027 at 20:00 CET. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

You will need to be signed into a Google account to complete the application (you may need to open a Google account).

Before you begin the application, please be ready to:

1. Provide contact information for a parent/guardian and your current school.
2. Upload two transcripts (from the most recent two school years).
3. Upload two teacher reference letters.
4. Upload a list of your extra-curricular activities, including length of commitments, and awards you feel the committee should review.
5. Write one sentence that distills why you are an exceptional candidate for this scholarship (30 words or less).
6. Upload an essay responding to this prompt: Describe a time when something you learned challenged a value or belief you care about. How did you work through that tension and what was the outcome? (500-700 words)

Complete the Application

Applicants who progress to the shortlist stage of the process will be contacted in February about the next steps. In the later stages of the application, parents/guardians will be required to provide information about their current financial situation and complete the formal LAS admissions process.
