Since 1961, Leysin American School has embraced its family-run identity, founded by Fred and Sigrid Ott to unite students across cultures after World War II. For three generations, the Ott family and a dedicated team of educators have nurtured students from around the globe, guiding them to reach their highest potential in academics and extracurriculars. Today, our vibrant alpine campus is home to 300 students, world-class teachers, and an international network of 8,000 alumni—all carrying forward the founders’ vision of an American-style education that prepares young people for university, global citizenship, and the adventure of a lifetime in the Swiss Alps.
