Student Success at World Championships of Alpine Skiing
Jakob is back in Leysin after a week of testing himself against the best skiers in the world in Cortina d'Ampezzo Italy at the World Championships of Alpine skiing. At 17 years old, this is Jakob's first year in the adult circuit and he delivered his best in the Men's Slalom qualification, finishing 44th in a field of 100 skiers, 50 of whom did not finish the race. Though only the top 25 skiers continued to the finals, Jakob has now experienced competition on the world stage and has a valuable experience under his belt, along with the inspiration to keep training to reach his skiing goals.
Jakob has been studying at LAS, training in the Leysin area, and working with the LASER performance center to develop his focus, optimize his goal setting, and coordinate his intricate program. Many youth have big dreams, the LASER performance center helps our students develop and execute a plan to realize these goals.
