Spirit Week at LAS

October was host to Spirit Week! Our Student Life team put together a fun list of competitions and events for our students to attend, and boy were spirits high!

Things started with a bang when our boys’ basketball team WON against Beau Soleil 60-48. Not only did our team play brilliantly and show excellent sportsmanship, but we received tremendous support from LAS staff and students sitting in the bleachers! Boy did they make some noise!

The next day, students and faculty went head-to-head in an indoor soccer match at the MMAC! It’s always fun to see who will come out on top in staff versus student events, and this year students claimed the victory with a final score of 4-3. The match was close, but the students snuck in a Golden Goal during extra time! 

We also hosted an upper versus lower campus game, and the Savoy Campus team secured their victory, 4-3!

Spirit Week concluded with Crazy Faculty Family Games. Faculty Families met in the MMAC and were faced with a “Crazy Course” that they had to run, skip, and jump their way through. Everyone put their best foot forward, but in the end three families came out on top! Congratulations to all teams, but a special well done to:

2nd Place - Family #30 Fiedler & Gidding (31:32 seconds)

3rd Place - Family #33 Turner & Skidmore-Harris (34:55 seconds)

 

What a fun week this was! We’re already looking forward to Spirit Week 2023!
