As our students enjoy a well-deserved break over the summer vacation, we're looking forward to the semester ahead and all the exciting events and activities on the horizon. Orientation week, cultural celebrations, enriching activities, and in-depth academic programs all make for an exciting and fulfilling semester ahead. Here are a few highlights of the fall semester our students can look forward to.

The semester begins with orientation week, when we happily welcome new and returning students to campus. The week is designed to help everyone adjust to life at LAS, meet their peers, and settle into new routines. Icebreaker activities, team-building exercises, and informative sessions add to the strong sense of community at LAS, making orientation a great start to the academic year.

Our extracurricular program is a highlight of student life at LAS. From art workshops and music performances to robotics club and sports teams, students will explore their passions and discover new interests. These activities provide an outlet for creativity and exploration, and it will be great to see students trying new things, particularly in our stunning Alpine environment.

From starting new courses to developing their current subject knowledge, students have a great range of academic pursuits ahead of them this semester. We can't wait to take students on more experiential learning opportunities and provide them with a wide range of hands-on learning experiences. We provide diverse academic pathways that meet each student's individual needs and goals. 

An LAS tradition, the Faculty Family program strengthens the bond between students and faculty. Through shared meals, hikes, and game nights, these gatherings provide a home-away-from-home experience, developing support networks and creating lasting memories. The program has now been enhanced to include mentoring during the school day, integrating Faculty Family support directly into students' academic day schedules. As a result, support from the Faculty Family program is available both during and after school.

The Alpine Institute guides students through the International Award expedition, where participants develop their survival skills and demonstrate perseverance in the Swiss Alps. Whether navigating challenging terrain or camping under starry skies, this program gives students transformative experiences, personal growth, and valuable teamwork skills.

The diversity of our community is highlighted during International Week, as students showcase their cultures through traditional clothing, performances, and cuisine. The week celebrates our diversity, highlighting the global community of LAS. 

Cultural trips across Switzerland and Europe enrich students' understanding of history and art, providing an immersive learning experience outside the classroom. Our students love traveling to different countries, learning about different cultures, and developing language skills. LAS cultural trips offer unique experiences to students while providing them with vital life skills and opportunities to make new friends and connect with different cultures.

With the fall semester approaching, we are excited to welcome students and show them everything the LAS community has to offer. This semester will be filled with growth, community, and new memories, from the excitement of orientation Week to incredible travel opportunities, creative showcases, and cultural celebrations.
