LAS at BISS International Slalom Ski

LAS Ski Team Brings Home 8 Medals


Last week the LAS ski team left for Pila, Italy to compete in the BISS International Slalom ski meet. Slalom skiing is a type of alpine skiing that requires the athlete to ski between gatesa challenging task that requires quick thinking, skilful carving, and a lot of speed! Despite the challenging nature of this sport, the LAS team returned home on Saturday with a van full of medals.

Congratulations to the following skiers for their outstanding performance:

  • Yoshiki T. - Gold medal in U18 boys slalom, bronze medal in senior boys parallel slalom
  • Max G. - Silver medal in U18 boys slalom, silver medal in senior boys parallel slalom
  • Katie K. - Bronze medal in U14 girls slalom
  • Sewon K. - 4th place in U16 girls slalom
  • Shayenne J. - 5th place in U16 girls slalom
  • Leo F. - Silver medal in U12 boys slalom
  • Viola F. - Silver medal in U10 girls
  • Chloé M. - Bronze medal in U10 girls
