LAS Cultural Trips Enrich Student Experience!

Travel broadens the mind, and what better way to explore the world than by immersing yourself in the culture and language of another country? LAS cultural trips offer unique experiences to students while providing them with vital life skills and opportunities to make new friends and connect with different cultures. LAS cultural trips this month were a triumph, and we hope our students returned to school this week rested and ready for the second half of the first semester!

For our students, the most exciting aspect of these cultural trips is the opportunity to bond with their peers and deepen their understanding of their subjects outside the traditional classroom setting. At LAS, the specific grade-level trips help our students to develop a sense of connection with their classmates. As a result, we help them to see, experience, and understand in practical ways in which they can be innovative, responsible, and compassionate citizens of the world.

Cultural trips this year included:

  • Rhineland, Germany
  • Ticino, Switzerland
  • Outward Bound Trip to Schwangau, Germany
  • Discovering Spanish Culture in Madrid, Spain
  • Science Trip to Zurich and Lucerne, Switzerland
  • Arts Trip to Berlin, Germany
  • History Trip to Budapest, Hungary
  • University Advising Trip to London & Oxford, UK
  • TOK Trip to Venice, Italy
  • TOK Trip to Florence, Italy
  • FOLK Trip to Rome, Italy

Our students had a fantastic time on their trips, learning about different cultures and exploring new skills, opportunities, and places. From a panoramic river cruise along the Rhine River and a flamenco class in Madrid to visiting the Turkish-style baths in Budapest and exploring the Colosseum in Rome, our students made memories for life! Many new friendships formed and students pushed themselves out of their comfort zones in a safe and supportive environment.

We were thrilled to see our students step beyond the classroom and explore new and exciting activities during our cultural trips last week. In spring 2025, our students will embark on exciting new adventures to even more destinations!

Below are some photos from cultural trips this month. Check them out!
