LAS Cowbell Games 2024: A Week of Athletic Triumphs and Team Spirit

Before spring break, our students participated in the annual LAS Cowbell Games! This fun week of activities allows students to compete with each other for the title of best class. At LAS, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of athletics and activities that allow our students to push themselves out of their comfort zones. Whether competing in football matches against rival schools, exploring the Alps through hiking, or jamming in the rock band, every student can find something that fits with them at LAS.

Organizing the Cowbell Games annually is a unique and exciting experience for us and our students. It's a week that brings out the best in our community and students, allowing them to showcase their skills and talents in a variety of sports and activities. From the unconventional sport of curling at lower sports center to the adrenaline-pumping ski races on the mountain, the Cowbell Games offer a diverse range of activities that cater to every student's interests and abilities.

Monday started with curling, flag-making, and 5-a-side football, and ended with seniors taking the early lead. Day two was in the MMAC, with wrestling, limbo, and many other games. It was great to see our students really get into the spirit of the Cowbell Games and make their friends proud! On Wednesday, our students headed up the mountain for ski races, slopestyle competitions, snow sculpture contests, and an Alpage challenge. Our students loved making the most of the snow and putting their winter sports skills to the test! The last day was a tug-of-war competition: the ultimate test of strength! Well done to all our students for putting in so much effort throughout the week and a special congratulations to the Class of 2025 for being the champions this year!

The Cowbell Games are not just about competition but also about fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among our students. It's a time when they come together, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, to celebrate their shared love for activities and healthy competition! A late season snowfall was a fantastic addition to the week, adding to the sense of adventure and fun on the mountain day. Congratulations to all participants for your exceptional efforts and achievements throughout the week! Watch this video to see some of the Cowbell Games excitement for yourself!
