LAS Climbs to New Heights!

The LAS sports program was taken to new heights on Friday when we hosted our first climbing competition on the indoor climbing wall in the MMAC! The idea first gained traction before the pandemic but became a reality last week when three visiting schools competed alongside LAS.

Here at LAS, we encourage students to try new sports and step out of their comfort zones, which is why we offer a wide range of sporting opportunities for students. We’re thrilled that ten LAS students and faculty children participated in this brand new event!

Congratulations to the following students and faculty family members in our community who placed in the competition!

1st place for junior boys (under 16): William ‘25
2nd place for senior boys (over 16): Hyland ‘24
3rd place for junior girls (under 16): Chloe
Speed event winner: Thomas

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our climbers and our three visiting schools, Malvern College Switzerland, Aiglon College, and Ecole d'Humanité. We look forward to hosting more competitions like this in the future!
