If there was a movie made about your life, which actor would you want to play you? And what would be the title of the movie?
Gal Gadot from Wonder Woman, because she inspires strong, independent women with a warm and compassionate heart. That is exactly what I strive to inspire, too! The movie title of my life would be "Band-Aids and Backpacks." My heart beats for my job as a nurse—which I absolutely love—and I'm a forever adventure seeker alongside my husband and three kids. When we aren't at work, we are out exploring somewhere! Five hearts, endless miles, zero wasted moments!

What is one item on your bucket list?
To observe the Northern lights from my van somewhere in Norway.

What was the first concert you attended? 
Passenger at Montreux Jazz in 2014, I think. It was a birthday gift offered by my best friends. Memorable moments!

What is one personal goal you have for this year?
Enroll in every opportunity this amazing LAS community offers me to step out of my comort zone!

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
Getting to know the students and witnessing them learning who they are and what they can become though the LAS community.

To make sincere connections with students and make LAS their home.

A new opportunity in a school I love!

Miriam Bardaji Garay—Resident Assistant for Beau Réveil Dorm

Where are you from?
Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain

What is one item on your bucket list?
Backpacking in Southeast Asia during a couple of weeks while learning about the culture of the places I visit.

Think of your favorite teacher. Why were they your favorite?
They were passionate about what they taught and their priority was our learning.

What was the first concert you attended? 
Adele in Barcelona. It was the best moment of my life. 

What is one personal goal you have for this year?
Passing the C1 exam in French and C2 in English! I also want to do more exercise and learn how to ski well.

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
Having a very positive impact on students and staff, I want to be a meaningful part of the girls’ experience.

To finish the Camino de Santiago. I’m so close!

Think of your favorite teacher. Why were they your favorite?
Mine was my hardest teacher in high school. She expected a lot from us and was very disciplined, but she taught us to aim high and stretch ourselves.

What was the first concert you attended? 
It was classical—The Boston Pops.

What is one personal goal you have for this year?
I will aim for a B2 certificate in French. It’s a long shot but worth it!

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
The challenge, the people, and becoming part of the community.

Clark Brydon—Assistant Director of Stewardship & Alumni Relations 

Where are you from?
Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom

If there was a movie made about your life, which actor would you want to play you? And what would be the title of the movie?
Young Clark would probably be someone like Andrew Garfield; and I can see myself becoming a bit of a Stephen Fry figure later in life. The title? "Fantastic Jobs and Where to Find Them"

What is one item on your bucket list?
My holidays are usually long road trips across Europe (and usually in cold places), but I'd love to do a crazy-long road trip across North America or from here all the way to Siberia.

What was the first concert you attended? 
The first and only pop concert I've been to was One Direction (and I'm happy to admit that). I've been to plenty more classical music concerts though!

What is one personal goal you have for this year?
Building my confidence in speaking French!

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
What excites me most about my new role at LAS is the opportunity to get to know our alumni and hear the incredible stories of what they've gone on to achieve around the world. LAS has such a diverse and global community, and I'm looking forward to building relationships with alumni and helping them to stay connected with one another and with us. I'm also excited to become part of the wider life of the school and to get to know our current students through residential life and helping out wherever I can.

Write Bucket List.

Think of your favorite teacher. Why were they your favorite?
Daniel Bitran. Great teacher, but also a great tester: they'd pose unlikely hypotheticals and then have you work out what happens next (physical sciences questions). Was really great at differentiating between understanding and memorization.

What is one personal goal you have for this year?
Be able to read through "Le Petit Prince" without looking any vocabulary up.

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
Creating robust, flexible systems that will outlast, while setting everyone else up for success. (And just hanging with my team; they're awesome. :) )

My favorite teacher was Ms Christine Rozzi here at LAS. I could tell that she cared about me and my friends while at the same time was able to maintain boundaries.

Find and maintain a healthy, reasonable balance

What are you most excited about with your new role at LAS?
Working with and sharing information & best practices with new colleagues, and teaching AND MENTORING students! Educational innovation seems to move fast here at LAS.

Learn to Ski and be ready to hit the slopes for the winter season!

Living and working within a globally diverse community and be able to learn and speak French with the locals!
