Impact Through Wellness: Celebrating the Class of 2024’s Peak 24 Gym

At LAS, the Senior Gift furthers the student experience, upgrading campus spaces and allowing future generations to thrive. The LAS Class of 2023 and their families were the first to support the Senior Gift project, giving back to the school upon their graduation—their philanthropic efforts helped renovate the Cave (renaming it Cave 23), a hangout spot on the Belle Époque campus where students can relax, play pool, grab drinks and snacks from the café, and develop bonds with friends. The huge success of this project inspired 2024 graduates to take on a new challenge, the Belle Époque gym, now known as Peak 24.

This upgraded wellness area is an incredible addition to our Belle Époque Campus. The new and refreshed equipment and vibrant environment encourage students to embrace health and wellness, fostering routines that support their fitness journeys. While the incredible Magic Mountain Athletic Center (MMAC) on the Savoy campus serves as a gym space for the whole school, having a dedicated fitness space at BEC allows older students to work out closer to their dorms with their friends.

Since the start of the school year, students have loved using the new equipment in this updated space, which has quickly become a fitness hub at Belle Époque! Exercising is part of a balanced lifestyle, helping students unwind after a long school day while also supporting academic performance by boosting endorphins, which contributes to students' ability to excel in their studies. This space allows students to try new workouts, listen to music, and bond with friends. We are incredibly lucky to have this dedicated area for our Belle Époque students!

The gym at the Belle Époque Campus was renamed Peak 24 in honor of the Class of 2024 and their families who donated to the project, leaving their legacy at LAS. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on the current student body and will continue to benefit future generations at LAS. We extend our heartfelt thanks for their philanthropy.

This year, the Class of 2025 has decided that their Senior Gift will be to update the BEC Academic Center, improving this space and allowing students to study to their full potential. We can’t wait to get this project started with the help of our grade 12 families. Stay tuned for more updates as we launch this initiative in the coming months.
