Global Adventures and Lifelong Learning: Academics at Summer in Switzerland

At LAS, we love hosting students from all around the world! This is why each year we are so excited to welcome LAS Summer students onto campus! Prepared for a summer of fun and learning in the Swiss Alps, students arrive enthusiastic and ready to meet new people, learn new skills, and have a summer of a lifetime! 

While LAS Summer is all about having fun, we also instill a strong focus on learning. Whether it’s mastering a new language, honing critical thinking and logic, or developing alpine leadership skills, our students gain practical knowledge that empowers them as global citizens. With a wide array of exciting courses to choose from, our students are equipped with the tools to make a difference in the world! The following academic courses are available to students:

During this LAS Summer session, our students have learned a lot in their academic classes. Da Vinci Lab students have developed 3D-printed designs and gained foundational knowledge in electronics. Creative Writing students have crafted stories, turning them into digital books. Alpine Leadership students have learned shelter building, survival skills, and orienteering skills. French Language students have studied the basics and are exploring French poetry, and AI & Digital World students have worked on machine learning projects and are developing mobile apps! These projects are only a glimpse of what our summer program has to offer! 

Complementing our academic courses, students also participate in afternoon clubs and activities, including team sports, visual arts, robotics, hiking, baking, and more! Students also go on day trips, try new hobbies, and spend a lot of time outside in our beautiful Alpine landscape. It’s a great way for students to see the world in a safe and friendly environment. Students leave LAS Summer enriched and enlightened, all while making friends for life. 

Our summer program at LAS is an incredible blend of fun, learning, and personal growth. Students from around the globe come together to explore new interests, develop practical skills, and build lifelong friendships in the stunning Swiss Alps. It has been fantastic seeing our students thrive in an academic environment and develop their interests into tangible skills and knowledge.
