Food and Festivities at Our Holiday Banquet Celebration

This week we celebrated the end of our fall semester with a banquet for everyone in our LAS community. The dress code was formal and festive, and our students really dressed up for the occasion! Family is an integral part of the LAS student experience, so being able to come together in a more formal setting was a great way to commemorate our community’s achievements.

The evening began with a welcome from Dr. Marc Ott, Head of School, followed by the main course, which was a delicious selection from the hot and cold buffet, prepared by our tremendous Chef Fabrice and his team. We were then treated to four fantastic student performances after the meal, which served as a beautiful reminder of how many musically talented students we have at LAS! Some of these students performed at the Winter Arts Night last week, so hearing their performances for a second time was a real treat!

The students were seated at tables with their Faculty Family, which allowed them to chat with their “siblings” and “parents” and reflect on their experiences during this semester so far. Highlights of the fall semester were then shared by Mr. McKenna, Activities Director, with closing words from Mr. Fomalont, Dean of Students.

This banquet was such a lovely way to wrap up the semester! As we start winding down toward the break, reflecting on the first part of this academic year was a great reminder of everything our students have accomplished. We hope everyone enjoys the winter break and takes time to rest and recuperate, ready for our second semester and ski season in January!
