Festive Highlights from the LAS Annual Holiday Banquet!
At LAS, the festive period is a time to reflect on our achievements from the year and strengthen the bonds within our community. It’s a season of joy, togetherness, and celebration where our traditions and accomplishments are highlighted! This year was no exception, as we marked the end of the semester with the Annual Holiday Banquet. This fun event united our community and allowed our students to dress up and enjoy the festive season!
Held in the Grande Salle at the Belle Époque Campus, this year’s banquet was a beautiful evening filled with warmth, music, and words from our speakers. This tradition brings our entire school community together to mark the end of the first semester. Dressed in formal and festive attire, students and faculty looked amazing! Everyone was seated with their Faculty Families, adding to the community atmosphere and allowing students to bond with their peers.
The talented catering team created a fantastic array of food, preparing a buffet featuring hot and cold dishes. The menu catered to diverse tastes, ensuring everyone enjoyed a meal with their Faculty Families! After the meal, our talented students treated us to outstanding musical performances. The performances highlighted the fantastic artistic skills within our student body, and for many, it was a continuation of their appearances at the Evening with the Stars event the previous week.
Two student leaders (Khoon '26 and Irene '26) served as emcees and did a wonderful job of guiding the audience through the evening. Mr. McKenna (Director of Student Life) hosted a fun quiz where Faculty Families could test their knowledge of international trivia. And after the student musical performances, Dr. Marc Ott (Head of School) reflected on the first half of the academic year, sharing highlights and achievements of the student body, before sending everyone off with words of encouragement for the coming semester.
The annual Holiday Banquet was a fantastic way to wrap up the fall semester. It provided a moment for all of us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the accomplishments of our students and faculty. As we head into the winter break, we hope everyone takes this time to relax, recharge, and spend quality moments with family and friends. The second semester awaits, with it the excitement of the ski season and new opportunities to grow and learn. Happy Holidays from all of us at LAS!
