My favorite classes are science-based because the lab facilities at LAS are fantastic. We get to do a lot of hands-on experiments instead of just reading from a textbook, which makes learning more fun and easier to understand. It’s cool to actually see how things work instead of just hearing about it.

I love that I’m able to learn bits and pieces of so many new languages — it really boosts my confidence. I’ve picked up memes and jokes from all around the world, which helps me connect with my friends even more.  

Your friends are always around! You don’t have to ask your parents if you can hang out or wait for the weekend—everyone’s just a few steps away. Whether it’s chilling after class, late-night talks, or random study sessions, it makes everything more fun and your friendships so much stronger. 

I love being a student leader because it allows me to give back to the LAS community that has welcomed me so warmly. I still remember my orientation day so vividly--there were so many prefects, ambassadors, and senior proctors waiting at the front entrance of BEC to greet my family and me with a bright smile. Now, I hope to pass on the positive energy I was surrounded by to all the new and returning students in the LAS community. Whether it’s opening the dorm store every week for my lovely dorm mates, hosting Tuesday Night Talks to answer any questions from the younger students in Beau Reveil, or delivering Winter Grams to all students and faculty living in BEC, being a student leader is so fulfilling and such an integral part of my LAS experience.
