Admissions Office Welcomes 380 Students from 62 Countries!
The Admissions Office sends greetings from the Swiss Alps! We were excited to start the 2009/10 school year by welcoming 380 students from 62 different countries to our campus. It is this amazing mix of nationalities, cultures and languages which truly makes LAS a global community.
These are exciting times! After extensively renovating Leysin’s historic Grand Hotel, LAS started the school year by opening its new Belle Epoque campus, home to our growing IB program. This impressive facility features state-of-the-art classrooms, science labs, dormitories and a trendy student café called “the Cave.”
LAS also welcomed 8th grade students for the first time this year as part of our new Junior High program. They live and study in a self-contained environment along with 9th graders. This supportive community allows young students to reach their full potential as they prepare for their important high school years.
Our Summer in Switzerland program for students ages 8-18 continues to offer an attractive mix of academic classes, recreational activities and cultural excursions.
Helping shape “citizens of the world” who will be future leaders in our global community is our mission at LAS. We thank you for sharing our vision.
Please let us know if we can answer any questions or help in any way. As always, we welcome you to visit us on the Magic Mountain!
